CHILDCARE SERVICES

To support delegates attending the 46th SICOT Orthopaedic World Congress, the Local Congress Secretariat is offering an on-site childcare service during the congress.

Dates & hours: Tuesday, 29 September 2026, 7:30–18:00; Wednesday, 30 September 2026, 7:30–18:00
Location: ICC Kyoto
Age range: From 6 months to elementary school age
Cost: Free of charge (does not cover incidental costs such as diapers, or care provided outside the hours above)

How to apply

Once we receive your application, you’ll get a confirmation email together with an Application Form. Please complete one form per child per day and hand it to the nursery staff at check-in.

Deadline: Friday, 25 September 2026, 12:00 noon (JST / UTC+9). Places are limited, so please apply as early as possible — the service will close once capacity is reached.

Insurance: Alpha Corporation, the childcare provider, holds accident insurance and will compensate within its coverage in the event of an unforeseen accident. The SICOT 2026 Local Congress Secretariat and the Congress Organizing Committee are not liable for any incidents.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is there a microwave or refrigerator on site? No — this is a temporary nursery. Please bring food and drinks that don’t need heating or refrigeration.
  • Does my child need a futon for napping? No need to bring one — baby racks and towel blankets are provided on request.
  • Can I bring my child’s favourite toy? We recommend against it, as the provider cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items.
  • Can I check in on my child during a break? To keep the group setting calm and focused for all children, parents may not enter the childcare room during sessions. If you’d like to spend time with your child, please treat this as a temporary outing from the room.
