How to Book a Hands-on Workshop

No pre-registration? No problem. Walk-in places are expected to be available at every session, so come along on the day and check for availability at the door.
Description: This 60-minute industry-sponsored educational session, supported by Peter Brehm GmbH, will focus on the management of complex hip revision surgery. During the first 30 minutes, experienced faculty will present and discuss challenging clinical cases involving acetabular fractures, implant loosening, periprosthetic joint infection, and failed total hip arthroplasty. The discussion will emphasize decision-making, reconstruction strategies, implant selection, and practical surgical tips for managing these demanding cases. The second 30 minutes will be a hands-on workshop giving participants the opportunity to become familiar with the implant systems presented during the case discussions. Under faculty guidance, attendees will practice preoperative planning, implant selection, and optimal component positioning using dedicated workshop materials.

Prerequisite Knowledge: Basic understanding of primary and revision total hip arthroplasty (THA) principles. Familiarity with acetabular anatomy, surgical approaches, and component positioning. Understanding of common complications after THA, including implant loosening, periprosthetic joint infection, and periprosthetic fractures. Basic experience with preoperative planning and implant selection for complex hip and acetabular reconstruction.
Attendee Profile: This hands-on workshop is ideal for orthopaedic and trauma surgeons with an interest in hip revision and complex acetabular reconstruction, including senior residents and fellows, early- and mid-career surgeons performing hip arthroplasty, and pelvic and acetabular surgeons involved in complex reconstruction.

Description: AR Knee Hands-on Seminar. Overview of AR Knee, a portable augmented reality navigation system for TKA, followed by a hands-on workshop using bone models to experience its surgical workflow and application.

Prerequisite Knowledge: Basic experience performing primary TKA. Familiarity with conventional TKA instrumentation. Description: The Ortoma Treatment Solution (OTS™) has been designed to support Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA). Assisted by advanced technology, surgeons are able to optimize patient outcomes through automated pre-operative planning, 3D real-time surgical navigation, and automated post-operative verification seamlessly. This hands-on workshop starts with a case presentation and participants are able to experience the OTS™ procedure with bone models in lateral position / supine position at 2 separate tables. Two Japanese expert hip surgeons provide a good opportunity for participants to compare with other navigations and robotics.
