PROGRAMME SUBMISSION

Call for scientific abstracts

We warmly invite orthopaedic surgeons, trauma specialists, researchers, and healthcare professionals from around the world to share their latest work and contribute to the scientific excellence of the Congress. Submitting an abstract provides a unique opportunity to showcase innovative research, exchange ideas with international experts, and gain visibility within the global orthopaedic community.

Before submitting an abstract, please make sure to carefully read the submission guidelines:

SICOT welcomes you to submit scientific abstracts to the 46th Orthopaedic World Congress (OWC 2026). Abstract submission is open to both SICOT members and non-members. You may submit abstracts in two categories: podium presentations or e-posters

 Podium presentations are either

  • Free Papers (5 minutes presentation + 1 minute discussion

OR

  • Short Free Papers (3 minutes presentation + 1 minute discussion)

Allocation of abstracts into Free Papers or Short Free Papers will be based on scoring by peer reviewers and at the discretion of the Scientific Programme Committee.

Top-scoring abstracts selected for e-poster display are eligible for a 1-minute presentation at the JAM (Just-A-Minute) sessions.

At submission, authors can choose to have any abstracts that are submitted for podium presentation but not accepted to be considered for e-poster display.
